CLAW stands for Clean Land, Air, and Water, an essential for all Canadians. Founded in 2004, the company provides environmental services to the federal, provincial, and municipal governments, private companies as well as Indigenous communities across Canada.

Sam Damm is the Founder and President of CLAW Environmental Services Inc., an Indigenous-owned firm dedicated to protecting the land, air, and water through environmental science, collaboration, and stewardship. A proud member of the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation, Sam’s leadership is grounded in community values, sustainable development, and respect for both traditional knowledge and modern environmental practice.
With over two decades of experience, Sam has built strong partnerships between Indigenous communities and government organizations at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels. As a founding member of the Public Sector Aboriginal Business Association (PSABA), he continues to advocate for progressive Indigenous procurement policies and meaningful participation in environmental projects across Canada.
At CLAW, Sam guides the company’s strategic direction and ensures that every project reflects a commitment to quality, cultural respect, and environmental responsibility. He is deeply passionate about workforce development, having personally recruited, trained, and mentored numerous Indigenous professionals to strengthen community capacity and opportunity.
Sam is a recognized speaker on Indigenous business, sustainability, and policy development. His leadership continues to drive CLAW’s mission—delivering high-quality environmental solutions while advancing reconciliation through action and partnership.
