Protecting biodiversity is a key component of responsible land management. CLAW provides Species at Risk (SAR) assessments and monitoring programs that help clients identify, protect, and manage sensitive species and their habitats in compliance with federal and provincial legislation.
Our team conducts habitat evaluations, field surveys, and ecological assessments to determine the presence or potential occurrence of species listed under the Species at Risk Act (SARA) and related provincial frameworks. We work closely with clients to develop mitigation and monitoring strategies that minimize project impacts while supporting regulatory approvals and long-term ecological balance.
CLAW is deeply committed to environmental and cultural stewardship. On First Nations lands, we integrate traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) with scientific assessment to ensure that protection measures respect both the natural environment and community values. Our collaborative approach ensures that projects move forward responsibly—protecting species, preserving habitats, and maintaining harmony between development and the environment.
